I'm going to marry Thomas the Tank!
Sunset Beach Weddings is a family owned and operated company. As part of the family, our teenage son, often is involved in setting up and clearing the beach ceremony site.
After one wedding in Panama City Beach, he was toting chairs back to the van, while a beach-going family who had witnessed the ceremony was also packing up to leave. They reached the boardwalk about the same time, and the youngest daughter told him that she was going to get married on the beach too. She didn't stop there, however, announcing that she intended to marry Thomas. I arrived in time to catch the following exchange.
Our Son, "Who's Thomas?"
Little girl, "You know, Thomas the Train."
Our Son, "I don't think you can marry a train."
She did not seem concerned.

How do you like my starfish?
Everyone loves a beach wedding. At Sunset Beach Weddings, our brides are often approached by well wishers before their processional begins. Our grooms are congratulated by other beach patrons. After being pronounced husband and wife, you may hear applause from condo balconies.
One bride, in Panama City Beach, had a unique experience. As I met with a bride and her father before the ceremony, a young girl came up the boardwalk towards us. It isn't unusual for little girls to stop and tell a bride how pretty she is, or "I love your dress!" Well this particular young lady had no interest in any of that. She walked straight up to the bride (obviously she must be the most important, all dressed up like that) and stuck out her beach pail for inspection. "How do you like my starfish?" she asked. The bride peeked into the bucket and told the little girl it was a lucky starfish. They both walked away with big smiles.
